How the GiftSong flow works

What is a personalized song gift?

A personalized song gift is a song built around the recipient’s name, your memories, and a message for them. Use it to mark an anniversary or wedding, thank your dad, or celebrate your son.

How to make your song gift

  1. Choose a musical style and voice that suit the recipient’s tastes and the occasion.
  2. Name the recipient and the occasion, then add real memories and the details you want included in the story.
  3. Review the generated lyrics. Correct names, facts, and any lines that do not sound like your message before making the recording.
  4. Listen to your first free short song. It targets about 10 seconds; the actual recording length may vary.
  5. For a full song, create a separate full recording with your saved lyrics using the allowance available to your account. Buying the short song does not extend it.

How much should I write?

For the full story-based song wizard, write 80–600 words. You can start here with the key points and add details in the wizard.

What should I put in a song gift?

Start with a real shared memory and the recipient’s tastes. Say what that moment means to you.

In Study 3, 140 romantic couples chose between a sentimental item and a $25 gift card for the recipient’s favorite store.

Sentimental item or gift card: Study 3 choices
Gift choiceShare of participants
Givers choosing the sentimental item23.6%
Recipients preferring the sentimental item34.3% (48/140)
Recipients preferring the gift card65.7% (92/140; calculated)

The gift-card share is calculated from the reported recipient counts for the two options.

“Three studies demonstrate this gift-giving mismatch and validate the proposed mechanism across a variety of gift-giving occasions and giver-receiver relationship types.”

These studies examined general gift choices, not AI songs or a guaranteed emotional response. Most recipients in Study 3 preferred the gift card, so consider what the person actually enjoys.
